Stocktakes

As part of an annual stocktake, departments are required to verify assets under their control at least once every financial year.

Capitalised assets costing $10,000 and over (excluding GST) and Attractive items valued from $1,000.00 to $9,999.99 (excluding GST) are verified during the annual stocktake.

Asset Tagging

All University owned assets that are recorded in the PeopleSoft Asset Management System and Leased Assets should be tagged with an Asset Tag. Asset Tags are obtainable from Asset Management, Office of the Chief Accountant. The tagging of assets is necessary in order to facilitate stocktakes.

It is optional to attach an Asset Tag to a Non-Attractive item valued from $1,000.00 to $9,999.99 (excluding GST).
